Instytut Techniki Budowlanej (ITB)

Graduate of the Faculty of Materials Engineering at the Silesian University of Technology. He obtained his doctoral degree in technical sciences in 2017 from the Building Research Institute (ITB), with which he has been associated for more than 20 years. In his activities at the ITB, he deals with issues related to research and evaluation of fastenings in construction. Chairman and member of the standardisation committees PKN/KT 326 and PKN/KT 236. Expert in EOTA working group EG 01 – Experts Group Fixings. He is the author of thousands of studies and expert reports and numerous publications on fixings in construction.

LOAD-BEARING CAPACITY OF CONNECTORS IN ETICS SYSTEMS

The paper will present the problems of fasteners intended for fixing thermal insulation in ETICS, as well as others for which the load-bearing capacity of fasteners in building substrates is determined. The applicable test guidelines will be discussed, taking into account the problems of testing. The results of own research will be presented in the field of load-bearing capacity of connectors used for fixing thermal insulation and applied in ETICS systems. In addition, the problems of commonly used accessories which can affect the load bearing capacity of fasteners used for fixing thermal insulation will be briefly presented.
