“The House of Sustainable Solutions – Model House Project Dubai 2018-2019”
Wacker launched a sustainable house project together with Dubai Central lab proving both entities’ commitment to green buildings in the region. At a public square in Dubai, two new houses were positioned. Visually identical but characterized by a completely different setup. One contains construction materials modified by Wacker chemistry, and another uses conventional building materials. This project aimed to demonstrate the advantages of modern construction chemistry for the environment under relevant climate conditions. Over a period of one-year parameters like room temperature, indoor climate, and energy consumption were measured in both show houses and compared. Compared to the traditional house, the Wacker show house offered a significant improvement in several areas like CO2 emissions, interior temperature, humidity and air quality.
